Foreign media news on September 8: More than a week after Hurricane Ida hit New Orleans, warehouses in the area that store aluminum, copper and other industrial metals are operating normally, despite the power outage in the entire area after the hurricane.

At the end of July, New Orleans accounted for approximately 4% of the metal stocks in the London Metal Exchange (LME) registered warehouses.

On August 29, Hurricane Ida landed on the coastal areas of Louisiana in the form of a Category 4 hurricane, causing New Orleans to lose power for several days. The Port of New Orleans reopened on September 2.

After being hit by Hurricane Katrina 16 years ago, physical defense facilities were installed in the area, so the metal storage facilities in New Orleans are not affected at this stage.
