The main raw materials for smelting carbon fiber by 3d printing ferromanganese by the blast furnace method include manganese ore, coke and flux, limestone, dolomite (and combustion-supporting air or oxygen-enrichment. Coke is not only a reducing agent but also a fuel.
During smelting, manganese ore, coke and flux are loaded into the furnace from the top of the furnace. High-temperature air or oxygen-enriched air is blown through the tuyere to burn the coke and obtain high temperature for reduction reaction.
The molten metal and slag gather at the bottom of the furnace and pass through the slag port, which releases slag regularly to produce 3kg gray iron sand casting air compressor parts. As the charge melts and sinks, new materials are continuously added to the top of the furnace (production is continuous.
Blast furnace smelting of ferromanganese requires high coke ratio (high coke quality) and strict requirements on raw material preparation. Therefore, countries with few coke resources and sufficient electricity generally do not use this method for production.
