The steel ingot heating method uses the latent heat of the liquid core and its heat recovery effect to make the surface and the inside temperature of the steel ingot uniform. The specific steps are: after demolding the liquid core steel ingot with a solidification rate greater than 50%, put it into a soaking furnace (adiabatic furnace, holding furnace) without heating facilities (or operation) under the condition that the solidification rate is less than 80% Soaking, when the solidification rate of the ingot reaches 94%, it will be lifted out for rolling. Setting the solidification rate above 50% for demolding is for safety reasons to prevent accidents during demolding. The solidification rate is lower than 80% into the furnace, which can ensure that the surface and the inside temperature of the steel ingot can be homogenized through its own latent heat and reach the required heating temperature. The steel ingot is rolled out after the solidification rate reaches 94%, which can avoid the defects of rolling bulge during the rolling process. The thermal soaking method has the following advantages: (1) There is no heating operation, so no fuel is consumed; (2) There is less iron oxide scale and the rate of billet formation is high; (3) The soaking operation is reduced, and labor is saved; (4) The amount of furnace installed It can be more than usual and can achieve intensive furnace loading.
