High temperature tensile test can be conducted on steel plates with a thickness greater than 20mm according to the special requirements of the purchaser and agreement between the supply and demand parties. The test temperature shall be specified in the contract.
The high-temperature yield strength value should meet the requirements of the specified residual elongation stress values at high temperatures in Table 1. Ultrasonic inspection can be conducted on steel plates according to the requirements of the purchaser.
When requested by the purchaser, the ultrasonic qualification level shall be negotiated by both parties and specified in the contract. Surface quality: The surface of the steel plate should not have defects such as cracks, bubbles, scars, folds, and inclusions. The steel plate shall not have any layering.
If there are surface defects mentioned above, cleaning is allowed. The cleaning depth should be calculated from the actual size of the steel plate and should not exceed 50% of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate, and the minimum thickness of the steel plate should be ensured.
The defect cleaning area should be smooth and free of edges and corners. Other defects are allowed to exist. But its depth shall not exceed 50% of the allowable thickness tolerance from the actual size of the steel plate, and it shall be ensured that the thickness of the defect does not exceed the minimum allowable thickness of the steel plate.
