On January 21, the China Metal Society organized a scientific and technological achievements evaluation meeting for the 210-ton converter steelmaking automation complete set of Shougang Qiangang Company.
After careful evaluation by experts from the evaluation committee, Shougang Qiangang’s 210-ton converter steelmaking automation complete technology project was highly praised.
The 210-ton converter steelmaking automation complete set of technology is my country’s first steelmaking automation complete set of technology that is completely independently designed, developed and manufactured domestically.
Fully automatic control of converter steelmaking has been achieved; after adopting this complete set of technology, the converter back-blowing rate has been reduced from an average of 28.37% before operation to 3.16%;
The double hit rate of carbon and temperature at the converter end point reaches 90.51%, of which the carbon hit rate reaches 96.34% and the temperature hit rate reaches 93.67%; the converter end point [P] content reaches an average of 0.007%, and the smelting cycle is shortened by an average of 16.8%;
The investment of this project saves 22.624 million yuan compared with the introduction of foreign technology, saving 43.72% of the total investment; after the project is implemented, it can generate direct economic benefits of 14.76 million yuan every year.
The investment is small and the economic benefits are significant; the overall level of the project has reached domestic leading level and international advanced level. It has great promotion significance for the advancement of domestic converter steelmaking technology, and it is recommended to speed up the promotion and application of this complete set of technology.
