Both 60Si2Mn and 51CrV4 are spring steels with similar mechanical properties. Mechanical properties of 60Si2Mn: σs≥1176Mpa, σb≥1274Mpa, δs≥5%, ψ≥25% 51CrV4 Mechanical properties: σs≥1175Mpa, σb≥1500Mpa, δs≥6%, ψ≥40%, shear and torsion allowable stress ≥1050Mpa. The fatigue life reaches 3 million times; the allowable shear and torsion stress is ≥1050Mpa. The working temperature of 51CrV4 can reach 300 degrees Celsius, and that of 60Si2Mn can only reach 250 degrees. In addition, 60Si2Mn is mostly used in the manufacture of leaf springs, volute springs and springs with wire diameters below 30mm, and 51CrV4 is mostly used in the manufacture of springs with larger diameters.
