Chalco has been shortlisted in the “Top 500 Asian Brands” for 14 consecutive years

Introduction: The “Asia Brand Conference” hosted by the World Brand Lab was held in Shanghai recently. The 2021 “Top 500 Asian Brands” rankings were released at the conference. Aluminum Corporation of China ranked 236th, up 2 places from the previous year’s ranking, and was shortlisted for 14 consecutive years.

It is understood that the “Top 500 Asian Brands” ranking list is jointly compiled by the World Brand Lab and the World Managers Group, and has been released annually since 2006. The criterion is the brand’s influence in Asia, and the basic evaluation indicators include market share, brand loyalty and Asian leadership. Unlike before, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) scores were included in the Asian brand evaluation system for the first time this year.

The list shows that the 500 brands on the list come from 19 countries and regions. There are 212 brands on the list from China (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), accounting for 42.4% of the top 500 Asian brands, ranking first. Among them, Mainland China has 166 brands on the list; Japan and South Korea have 134 and 50 brands on the list respectively, ranking second and third in number respectively.

In terms of industries, the brands on the list come from 41 industries including finance, media, information technology, food and beverage, electronics and electrical appliances, retail, automotive, and petrochemicals. The top five industries selected were finance, information technology, media, food and beverage, electronic appliances, and the number of selected industries were 62, 48, 47, 45, and 25 respectively. A total of 11 brands in the metallurgical industry where Aluminum Corporation of China is located on the list, of which 4 brands from China are on the list.
