Foreign Exchange Bureau: China’s banking industry has foreign debts of US$1572.1 billion at the end of March

At the end of March 2021, China’s banking industry had external financial assets of US$1481.3 billion, external liabilities of US$1572.1 billion, and external net liabilities of US$90.8 billion, of which RMB net debt was US$452.3 billion and foreign currency net assets were US$361.4 billion.
