China Customs: In July, the import of aluminum ore and its concentrate was 9.25 million tons, a year-on-year drop of 15.7%; this year, the total import of aluminum ore and its concentrate was 64.41 million tons, a year-on-year drop of 7.1%.
China exported 50,000 tons of alumina in July, a year-on-year increase of 1939.8%; this year’s cumulative alumina export was 90,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%.
In July, imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products were 312,086 tons, down 20.2% year-on-year; this year, the total import of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products was 1,774,859 tons, up 47% year-on-year.
In July, steel imports were 1.05 million tons, down 59.7% year-on-year; this year’s cumulative steel imports were 8.4 million tons, down 15.6% year-on-year.
