Metal straightening methods are many, most of the current mechanical straightening. The commonly used methods include pressure straightening, roller straightening and tension straightening, this also is Grade7 titanium plate straightening methods.
The procedure of correcting the shape defects of titanium products after plastic processing is called straightening. In the process of heating, forming and heat treatment of titanium and titanium alloy workpiece, due to the uneven distribution of temperature and plastic deformation, shearing, transportation and stacking and other reasons, often produce different degrees of bending, wave shape, skew and other defects, must be rectified by shaping the workpiece shape and eliminate its internal residual stress. The longitudinal and transverse bending of the sheet strip can be straightened by a roller straightener. However, the effect of roller straightening on the middle and edge wave shape defects is not ideal. This kind of defect is related to residual stress caused by uneven extension along the width of the strip during rolling. When the residual stress exceeds the yield limit of the material, secondary deformation will occur, forming wave shape. If the middle extension is large and the two sides are small, the middle wave is formed. If the residual stress does not exceed the yield limit of the material, there is no macroscopic defect, but the potential residual stress will affect the service performance of the strip. It is mainly used for straightening thin plate and thin-wall pipe with thickness less than 0.6mm, as well as thin plate and special-shaped parts with severe wave-shape or ladle.
Titanium plate
Because titanium and titanium alloy strength, small modulus of elasticity, rebound, compared with ordinary metal, the straightening is difficult. So for the plate and large section of the workpiece commonly used thermal straightening process. Sometimes some workpiece bending degree is big, need two kinds of straightening joint treatment or secondary straightening. Take titanium plate as an example. It is operated on plate clamp straightening machine.
Its operating points are as follows:
1, Preparation,It should first need to straighten the titanium plate in the roller straightening machine, also can be in the milk machine to give a small amount of rolling pressure, so that the titanium plate is relatively flat. In particular, it is beneficial to eliminate the plate transverse ladle. Tidy up and clean the straightening machine. The titanium plate is assembled on the clamp of the machine, and a certain amount of clamping capacity is maintained.
2, Operation
The two ends of the titanium plate should be parallel in front of the straightening machine, and its 4 angles should be 90°. When clamping titanium plate, the center line should be aligned, not allowed to skew. After operation, if longitudinal waves are generated, the structure of the clamp of the straightener must be adjusted to avoid the generation of waves. Clamp straightening is a gap operation, it is a titanium plate straightening after the completion of the second. During operation, straightening and checking shall be carried out. Only when each titanium plate is qualified can it be stopped and discharged.
3, Stop
The gripper must be clean and tidy after shutdown. It should be kept free of titanium chip and dirt. And to each straightened titanium block reinspection and targeted disposal to make it into a qualified product.
