The teenage model USES 11 medical titanium bars to support her body
Catalina Burgess, 17, suffered multiple neck and back injuries after being in a car accident and was told she may never walk again. However, when doctors propped her up with 11 titanium bars, enough pins and screws, she miraculously stood up and signed with a modelling agency.
Miraculously survived with head and neck parted
After Jordan Taylor's car accident, his skull was separated from his vertebrae, with no bones attached, and doctors told him there was only a 1% chance he would survive. Later, doctors used a metal plate, screws and titanium rods to reattach the vertebrae from his skull. Three months later, Jordan was released from the hospital and is now able to go to school.
